Two weeks before Christmas every year
People came from far and near
To see the pageant and join in the glee
And enjoy the other sights to see

Midst the throng of Christmas cheer
The village inn was filled each year
Happy couples and children mingle
While outside the sleigh bells jingle

At the northpole it is often so
That the old father wind would blow
With snow so thick no one could breathe
And cover all the town beneath

This was true in Eighteen Thirty two
And the village inn was filled it’s true
Men, women, and children dressed so warm
That the blizzard outside could do no harm

So snug and comfy next to the fire
And twinkling lights, gifts to admire
Decorations adorned mantle and wall
And a Christmas tree standing green and tall

When all of a sudden singing was heard
Like a choir of angels, so plain each word
And above the workshop a glow was seen
And the guests all wondered, what could this mean?

For the answer you must be sure to read
Little Penny’s miracle Granny Agreed
As she related this tale of long long ago
When Christmas Town was covered with snow.
