~*Penny's Miracle*~

Just twenty four days until Christmas
Santa's elves were working with zeal
But the days were going much to fast
No time to rest or eat a quick meal.

The letters from the children were slow
Coming to the North Pole this year
Due to the terrible storms and deep snow
And more blizzards to come we fear

Maggie and Mukie worked night and day
To keep the survey belts filled with toys
And Hewey and Louie, with no time to play
Sorted the toys for the wee girls and boys.

But as the long days and night went by
Santa said without a miracle he feared
That no matter how hard they all tried
There'd not be toys to go 'round this year

Now little Penny was too young to help
Tiny hands just didn't seem to work
Though she had the talents of an elf
It took time to perfect each elf quirk

But Penny heard Santa's remarks
And saw the tear drop from his eye
And it made her feel sad in her heart
To see Santa so sad he would cry

Now Penny knew not what to do
But she knew that God answered prayer
So she went into a place that she knew
And prayed that he'd send an angel here

Now it was much to everyone's surprise
The toy shop grew as light as noon day
And so much brighter than any sunrise
As it was filled with song and praise

For you see it was on Christmas Morn
That our Savior Jesus Christ was born
And on that Eve' Santa's work had begun
And in his workshop toy building was done

Many angels hands flew, and it seemed
That toys were appearing from the air
As though they had been miraculously beamed
From heavens toy store up there

And Penny's heart was no longer sad
And her heart was filled with such joy
And she could tell that Santa was glad
There would be enough for each girl and boy.

Then Penny looked out of the window
And much to her surprise she saw
The blizzard had calmed and the snow
Was no longer freezing, cold and raw

There is magic each year now in Santa's Toy shop
As each elf remembers the angels God sent
They all remembered now to put prayer on the top
In their hearts where ever they went.
