*~Oh What Memories I Recall*~
~*Granny's Library*~

Oh what memories I recall
Granny's library most of all
Through those doors I traveled far
To magic worlds and distant stars

Books lined against the wall
Firelight shadows dancing tall
Soft mucic on victrola plays
Songs they shared in golden days

Scriptures lay on polished desk
Opened to those loved the best
Testiment of our Savior born
Weathered pages so well worn

In the stories of magic wonder
Into worlds of fun and color
And special childhood flight
Into fantasy we'd go each night

Christmas stories of a miracle birth
When our Savior came to earth
And Santa flew through heavens blue
Leaving gifts of love all night through

Granny's poems all in a row
treasures she wanted me to know
How I loved to hear her voice
As she recited my poem of choice

I've learned so much in this room
Of people and places and love in bloom
Traveled to lands on distant shores
opened exciting unknown doors

In this room I felt so warm
And so loved and free of harm
In Grandpa's chair with pile so deep
On Grandpa's lap I'd fall asleep
