~*Our Joseph*~

Many years have passed
since we last looked upon your face;
Many tears have shed
since we've felt your warm embrace;

To live a life without you
is like no life at all;
To breath and go on living
has been the hardest of it all;

Our times with you we'll treasure too;
We would never change a thing;
Although the years were much too few;
You'll fly on angel wings;

That awfull day we lost you;
We couldn't say goodbye;
All your dreams died with you;
Left shattered and hearts that cry;

Ours is not to question;
That's what wev'e all been told;
That nothing in life is promised;
Only memories are ours to hold;

We thought we would have a lifetime;
A lifetime for us to care;
We thought we would have tomorrows;
More tomorrows for us to share
...Rest Softly Sweet Son...

~*Memories of Joseph*~

He was our first born and he came into this world kicking and screeming.But Oh what a joy! He was so inquisitive. He got into everything. He grew up into a fine young man and handsome too, with a boyish face. He was very shy around girls, but he had lot's of friends. Joseph's greatest passion was flying. He wanted to fly from the age of fifteen, so it was no surprise to us that he chose it for a career. He taught flying and instrument training at our local airport. But he never was too busy to stop and smell the rose's. He would come home from flying and say, "Mom did you see the sunset or sunrise today, or how about those stars last night weren't they great?" After he was killed it just seemed right to name a star after him. He would have loved that He was nuts about sports any kind but football was number one.He was our light and shining star that would never fade away. We Love you so much Son. Written by Joseph's "Mom".
